After my first Shabbat at my now husbands parents home, I knew I had a lot to learn about the Judaism and Jewish traditions.

My first blunder was when I was asked what I would like to drink with our brisket, I asked for a glass of milk please. That didn’t go down too well, but they certainly forgave me for it!

What I soon found out was that there were many traditions that I loved, and a few that I didn’t love so much!

The most important thing I learned was how important some of the traditions are to many Jewish people, including my new family.
